Steve's Quilt Photo Pitch
I would like to photograph your quilts. My mother is Pam Harris. I've been watching my mother make quilts for over 40 years. As a result, I don't have any store bought blankets on my bed. I have been taking pictures for most of that time. My Mom told me that some of you would like to have high resolution digital photographs of your creations.
Here's my plan. I can pick up your items or you can meet me at Mom's house in Watsonville. The quilts are hung on a closet pole mounted on a wall or pinned to a foam core board. Since quilts are usually stored folded, they are coaxed to hang as flat and straight as possible. All photographs are taken on a tripod with flash. I added a set of studio lights to improve the lighting. The entire item and an area showing details are photographed. I process the images using Adobe's Photoshop CS3. I save the finished pictures on a DVD. Image processing and DVD creation takes 3 days. For this service I charge $25 per the item. I also print photos from 4" x 6" to 13" x 19".
